When people talk about buying a home, they seem to mention that proverbial home with a white picket fence. They are out there and available. So are homes with big yards. no yards, one floor, two floors, condos with views, condos with a pool, etc. The possibilities and opportunities are endless.
First things, first. We'll get you pre-qualified, and then we'll work on getting you pre-approved for a loan. Check out this blog post on the difference between pre-qualified and pre-approved. That's not too stressful, and it only takes a day or so for to obtain a pre-qualification letter. VERY IMPORTANT: Do not "shop" with your social security number to a variety of lenders to get the best rate! What ultimately ends up happening is that the more times you apply for a loan, and don't follow through, the lower your credit score becomes, and you may end up paying a higher interest rate because of it.
